Canine Prostaglandin F2alpha, PGF2A ELISA Kit - 96tests
The Canine PGF2α ELISA Kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay developed for the quantitative measurement of prostaglandin F2α in dog serum, plasma, urine, and other biological fluids. PGF2α, a potent prostanoid synthesized via the cyclooxygenase (COX) pathway from arachidonic acid, is a key mediator in canine reproductive physiology, luteolysis, and inflammatory signaling. This assay employs a specific anti-PGF2α antibody immobilized on a 96-well microplate. Endogenous PGF2α competes with an HRP-conjugated PGF2α analog for limited antibody binding sites. The signal generated by TMB substrate is inversely proportional to PGF2α concentration and is measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm. The kit offers high analytical sensitivity, precision, and minimal cross-reactivity, providing robust performance for veterinary research and clinical studies involving prostaglandin pathways in dogs.
