Anti-GM-CSF Antibody is a high-specificity reagent targeting Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF), a ~14.5 kDa glycoprotein cytokine that plays a pivotal role in hematopoiesis and immune modulation. GM-CSF promotes the proliferation, differentiation, and activation of myeloid lineage cells including granulocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. It is secreted by multiple cell types in response to inflammatory stimuli and is implicated in autoimmune disorders, chronic inflammation, and tumor microenvironment remodeling. Anti-GM-CSF antibodies are used to neutralize bioactivity or to detect endogenous and recombinant GM-CSF in ELISA, Western blot, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry. These antibodies are also foundational in the development of GM-CSF-blocking biologics for clinical applications in diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and COVID-19-related hyperinflammation.
